Hi Julian! Watching round one, where you’re trying to attack with jitte on turn 2. I paused the video to think about it and if you zenithed for quirion ranger instead of symbiote you’d guarantee it. (Tap it and 2 sentinels to get to 4, return a forest to untapped sentinel). Not sure that’s better than the extra card + having symbiote/visionary online and the chance to draw a 1cmc elf to have it all.

Guess I’ll find out how it goes regardless!

Congratulations Julian! I’m an Elves player too, I always see your videos and I learn a lot from the deck … Does the meekstone really work for you? Is the only thing that would change the sb, and the Progenitus, because I always touch the initial hand haha.
Two weeks in a row elves wins the legacy challenge !! My list was very similar to yours.

    see you!

I kinda like the Meekstone but it’s not essential. Early Delvers are still one of the most scary things to do to us as it gives us less time to make our card advantage engines work. I could also see just playing the 4th Abrupt Decay instead.

Hey Julian, thanks a lot for your knowledgetransfer, as a new elves player I really appreciate it! I Love your positive approach to Play Magic!
As always when you learn to Play a new Deck I have difficulties to do my Sideboarding decisions. Unfortunatly I cannot follow what you Sideboard out, quite often, since you use to say: “some of These” (+i cannot See the Card), maybe you Could make it a Bit more clear which cards your sideboarding. That would be very helpfull! Thanks and keep up the good work!

Hi Julian, Congratulations for the win!

How did you feel playing with 61 Cards in the main deck?
Do you think that is worth or there is a card that you would cut in order to play exactly 60 cards?

Thanks and see you next MKM ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey Hannes, thanks a lot for the feedback. Just to be clear and I’m not misunderstanding: are the cards not visible to you or in general? Would it help if I increased the size of the sideboard cards? I will try mentioning it more often but can’t guarantee my mind might get carried away at times ๐Ÿ˜‰

In order to notice a difference between 60 and 61 cards, one probably needs to play hundreds of games for it to even matter. So “feeling” the difference isn’t really a thing that I could comment on. I feel having the additional SB card by having the additional GSZ target in the main is really great as being able to play more dedicated SB cards helps with the more swingy matchups.

If I had to cut something to go to 60, that would depend on which decks I wanted to be better/worse against. That’s a decision everyone has to make for him-/herself.

Thanks Julian for your quick reply!
I got your point and it make sense, probably with all the elf base being all 4x the difference is really slightly.

I also like the meekstone in the SB as for example in my local meta there is a quite number of eldrazi players and the card should be quite problematic for them ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks once again for the great contents you provide to Legacy community!

In general it’s fine, but sometimes cards you sb out are hard to recognize… but maybe thats just my problem and occurs because of small Display + slightly pixelated View.. anyway: if you’d manage to make it more clear which Cards you sb (and why) it would help me a lot.
Sideboarding with elves seems to be extra difficult..
