Legacy League with Elves #4

It’s been a really busy summer for me, but I’m finally back to streaming! After upgrading to Windows 10 I was finally able to resolve all my microphone and OBS issues, so being back on Twitch feels better than ever! For some reason they also didn’t mute the VOD of yesterday’s streamed run through a Legacy League, so awesome, free bonus content! 🙂 Nisa, Vital Force is back on the menu and she’s been absolutely incredible for me thus far. She’s a real house vs all those random midrange decks, while also being a top premium card vs Miracles. Even against Delver she’s performing really well as a 5/5 with sudo-Vigilance and Haste goes a surprisingly long way. Now sit back and enjoy the action!

Legacy League with Elves Stream:

Don’t forget to tune into the stream on twitch.tv/itsJulian. I don’t have a fixed schedule yet (will I ever?), but I’m currently streaming ~3 times a week. So much fun to be had, join us! 🙂

So long,

Support me on Patreon

I recently decided to sign on to Patreon, a cool website that lets you support the people and projects you enjoy the most in order to make it easier for them to produce additional content. There’s several tiers of support, that will give you special perks like coaching sessions or Legacy Premier League swagchandise. Note that all of my content and projects themselves will always remain free no matter whether you pledge any amount of not. Patreon is a way for people who want to see even more, crazier and bigger projects from me in the future!

    Hey Julian,
Very interessting, that Nissa seems to be so strong in the current meta, even though it was ment to be used against Miracles.

One question about your list (and about including Nissa): Do you see a connection between 4 NO (+2 hoof + Prog sb) and Nissa? In detail: If you play 3 NO: is it still an option to play Prog in the sb? And if you play 2 Nissa md : is it still an option to play 4NO and Prog?

Second question (kind of offtopic): What are your thoughts on Rhiskar, Peema Renegade? Is it one of these “win-more-cards” or worth a try in md?

    Thanks a lot,

By the way: the link “Videos” in your main Navigationbar is broken (on Mac, newest Chrome).

Hey Hannes, thanks for the heads-up with the Video link, I just fixed it.

Regarding Nissa, I love it because unlike NO, it requires little-to-no setup (I guess actually having a land is kind of a prerequisite ;P) compared to NO. You *can* run 3 NO and 1 Prog in the sideboard, and I’ve certainly done that before. But I like the Nissa plan MUCH better vs all the midrange Leovold decks. If you play 2 Nissa, you can play 4 NO, but I see no viable cut to make room for it. Maybe Reclamation Sage, but then you’re missing out on an additional SB slot (unless you wanna go entirely Sage-less). I wouldn’t cut any of the mana Elves since 2 Nissa and 4 NO is already on the upper end of being quite clunky.
